New Mexico Rehabilitation Center (NMRC) is a Joint Commission accredited specialty hospital providing rehabilitation services to citizens of the State of New Mexico. Why does the job exist? Performs custodial tasks in a state-owned or leased building. How does it get done? Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing; cleans windows, windowsills and mirrors; vacuums and shampoos carpets; cleans facility which includes washing walls, cleaning restrooms and offices, dusting furniture, etc: removes snow from walks and driveways; moves furniture as necessary; collects and disposes of garbage; uses proper disinfectants to control odor and germs; sets up rooms for meetings; may train custodial personnel to perform routine meetings; may train custodial personnel to perform routine custodial duties; while working, inspects facility for needed repairs and reports to supervisor; performs related tasks as assigned. Maintains inventory, performs minor maintenance and repairs of equipment¿s. Who are the customers? Ideal Candidate NMRC is Specialty Hospital that treats patients and clients with Chemical Dependency and Medical Rehabilitation needs. Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Employment is subject to post offer pre-employment criminal background check and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and must complete a Defensive Driving Course. Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language that includes but is not limited to warnings on cleaning products and hazardous materials. Working Conditions Work is performed in an indoor setting and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles or caustic chemicals. Lifting, pushing, pulling, transferring, and/or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds.
