What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Starting Pay $15.40 per hour. A professional cleaning company is looking to hire 4 individuals to assist in cleaning a school in the Santa Fe NM area. Monday thru Friday 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of various commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure environments are welcoming, hygienic, and well-maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial, custodial, office cleaning, dorm room cleaning, or facilities maintenance experience who thrive in fast-paced settings and take pride in their work. Requirements- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or related facilities maintenance roles.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results consistently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates.
