Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Your efforts will contribute directly to the comfort and safety of staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and stripping to preserve the appearance of various flooring surfaces. Handle industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment for large or high-traffic areas. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues that require professional attention. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and used safely according to company policies. Support additional duties like residential painting or light maintenance as needed to keep the facility in top condition. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and general sanitation procedures. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills is preferred. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or floor scrubbers safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
