A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job DescriptionComplete set-ups and breakdowns of banquet equipment; store and maintains all bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, stanchions, and the like. Assist bartenders with stock, breakdown of beer, liquor, and other supplies. Deliver related supplies as needed. Job FunctionsSet-up banquet equipment in accordance with the BEO; break down same at the conclusion of the event.
Deliver supplies such as liquor and beer, from the banquet bar porter, in a timely and efficient manner.
Store and maintain all banquet equipment, bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, stanchions etc.
Refresh meeting rooms as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
Other physical demands of this job include but are not limited to: sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling/pushing, kneeling, squatting, and grasping.
Other duties as assigned by management.
QualificationsMinimum of six (6) months of prior experience as a banquet porter preferred.
High school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of various banquet set-ups (e.g. classroom style, chevron, banquet, reception, etc.) strongly preferred.
Forklift certification is beneficial.
Must be able to read English.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to grasp, kneel, stoop, and bend on a regular basis.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
