Job Description

Summary, Role:
The Casino Porter is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the casino. This includes cleaning, sanitizing and tidying the gaming areas, bar, and public areas of the casino. Typical duties are to sweep and mop the floors, wipe windows, and remove trash. A casino porter will also be responsible for ensuring that the inventory of cleaning products and chemicals remains stocked.
Essential Responsibilities:
Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains public areas of the casino. Sweeps, mops, vacuums floors, and empties trash cans and ashtrays throughout casino property daily. Wipe down all slot machines and chairs from dust, fingerprints, and spills. Cleans glass doors, mirrors, walls, equipment, and furniture inside of building. Stock bar with supplies. Assist with putting orders away. Follows daily assignment sheet. Requirements (KSA's) Ability to work at a steady pace to ensure that department schedule is kept. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Ability to work well with others and with minimum supervision. Good customer service skills required. Education, certificates: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push and pull equipment, including vacuum cleaner, broom, and cleaning cart. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and kneeling without restriction; up to 8 hours Ability to withstand working with chemicals. Must be able to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment.
