Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitation tools Handle custodial responsibilities with precision, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized according to safety procedures and health standards Operate cleaning machinery safely, including floor buffers and other custodial equipment, following established safety protocols Assist with heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs such as painting or touch-ups in residential or commercial settings Follow chemical handling safety procedures when using cleaning agents or other hazardous materials to ensure a safe environment for all staff and visitors Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries courteously and assisting with facility-related needs promptly Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning routines and equipment operation Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe workspace Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and the use of floor buffers is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper lifting practices is required Strong attention to safety protocol adherence and facilities maintenance standards is necessary Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean environment Basic residential painting or maintenance experience is a plus but not mandatory Join us as a Porter and be part of a team dedicated to creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces.
