A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Porter —
Astoria, New York City Position Summary:
The Porter role at Steinway & Sons is responsible for maintaining a clean office and factory environment, here at our manufacturing plant in Astoria, Queens. This role will clean the cafeteria, bathrooms, and workspaces in the factory and office areas, as assigned. This role requires your shift to begin at 2 PM or later. Requirements- Cleans floors, windows, tables, and chairs in the factory
- Fills toilet paper, paper towels, and soaps in toilets as required
- As a regular routine, cleans factory toilets
- Perform all daily maintenance functions and 5S requirements (i.e. clean and sweep area)
- Train others as required
- Enter data in T&A and close work orders as required
- Perform other functions in the department as necessary Job Requirements
