Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate equipment such as floor buffing machines, scrubbing machines, and floor waxers to ensure optimal appearance and hygiene. Handle various chemical agents safely, including floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products, following all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions. Conduct carpet cleaning, floor waxing, buffing, and refinishing tasks to maintain the integrity and appearance of different flooring surfaces. Use janitorial equipment efficiently for tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and detailed custodial work across multiple areas. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support efficient workflow while adhering to safety standards. Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their environment. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance with environmental services standards. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a strong understanding of janitorial best practices. Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques for various flooring types including tile, vinyl, carpet, and hardwood. Knowledge of handling chemical agents safely and effectively while maintaining a clean working environment. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, steam cleaners, and carpet extractors with confidence. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling required for routine cleaning tasks. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for managing multiple assignments efficiently.
