A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Overview Local church is seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team for every Sunday morning from 9:00 am
- 1:00 pm, with additional hours as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. Duties (include, but not limited to)
- Perform custodial duties such as cleaning bathrooms, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Handle waste disposal and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs
- Set up tables, chairs, and refreshments for after worship gathering Skills
- Proficient in custodial and facilities maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of floor care including buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with industrial and commercial cleaning practices
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
