In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of shared residential spaces by performing thorough cleaning and sanitation of common areas, managing garbage tote services, and maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a pristine living environment that residents are proud to call home. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to community well-being while honing your custodial and maintenance skills in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning of communal hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as back-pack vacuum, mopping, must be able to lift 50lbs or more. Handle garbage totes safely by collecting, emptying, sanitizing, and organizing waste disposal areas in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain floors through buffing, mopping, vacuuming. Use chemical agents responsibly by following chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning tasks to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Conduct routine inspections of common areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly for resolution. Assist with light custodial duties such as window washing, surface disinfecting. Follow all safety protocols diligently during manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving bulky items to prevent injuries. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including, vacuums, mops, and sanitation tools. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members. Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory.
