Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Doorman/Porter to serve as the first point of contact for visitors and residents, ensuring safety, security, and a welcoming environment. This energetic role involves managing access control, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a secure premises through vigilant surveillance and conflict management. The ideal candidate will be highly attentive, physically capable of manual handling tasks, and possess a strong sense of security awareness to uphold the safety standards of our community or facility. Duties Greet visitors, residents, and contractors warmly while verifying their identities and access permissions. Monitor CCTV systems continuously to oversee activity around the property, identifying any suspicious behavior or security breaches. Conduct thorough background checks and perform security screenings for all individuals entering the premises. Manage access points by controlling entry and exit, ensuring only authorized personnel gain entry. Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills, CPR, AED operation, or Taser as necessary to ensure safety. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting for deliveries or equipment movement while maintaining safety protocols. Enforce loss prevention policies by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accurately. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions effectively. Perform routine patrols of the property to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities. Assist with performing background checks on new staff or visitors as part of security procedures. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in surveillance technology such as CCTV operation and familiarity with loss prevention techniques. Ability to perform first aid procedures including

CPR, AED

operation, and basic medical assistance. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking. Knowledge of conflict management strategies to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Experience with security tools such as Taser devices and CCTV monitoring systems is advantageous. Strong observational skills with attention to detail for performing background checks and surveillance activities. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor to interact confidently with diverse individuals.
