Role:
As a Venue Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of VIP and large-scale events. This fast-paced, versatile position is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments. Your responsibilities will include maintaining facility standards, supporting event logistics, and providing exceptional support to enhance guest experiences.Key Responsibilities:
Secure and prepare facility areas by locking/unlocking doors, adjusting lighting, and setting up spaces for operational readiness. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas, including restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, hallways, elevators, and public spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and ensure floors are spotless and safe. Remove trash, replace liners, and safely transport waste in accordance with safety protocols. Restock supplies and amenities in restrooms and other facilities as needed. Conduct routine inspections of lighting, doors, floors, and overall conditions, reporting maintenance issues promptly. Respond swiftly to urgent cleaning needs and maintain high-traffic zones. Support venue setups, resets, and breakdowns for events, ensuring spaces are guest-ready. Assist with logistical tasks such as waste management and restroom maintenance during events. Operate freight and passenger elevators during load-in and load-out to facilitate smooth event transitions. Follow all safety procedures, protocols, and operational guidelines diligently, promoting a secure work environment.Qualifications:
Previous experience in custodial, porter, facilities, housekeeping, hospitality, or event support roles is preferred but not required. Experience working in large commercial venues or similar high-capacity environments is a plus. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout your shift. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Reliable, punctual, and flexible to adapt to varying shift schedules based on operational needs.
