About Us NYCMC Wellspring Schools is part of the NYCMC ecosystem—serving hundreds of students, families, and community members daily. Our facilities are high-traffic, mission-driven spaces that must remain clean, safe, and welcoming at all times. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaner/Janitor who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and understands the importance of caring for a space that serves children, educators, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, bathrooms, stairwells, and common areas Empty trash and recycling; replace liners as needed Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust daily Refill restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.) Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces Assist with light setup/cleanup for school or community activities when needed Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages promptly Follow all health, safety, and facility protocols Qualifications Prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred (school or facility experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Physically able to stand, walk, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Respectful of an Islamic school environment and values Schedule & Compensation Flexible shifts (early morning, evening, or weekend availability may be required) Competitive hourly pay based on experience Why Join Us Stable work environment Mission-driven organization Respectful and structured operations team
