What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The groundskeeper is responsible for performing the duties associated with maintenance, landscaping and overall upkeep of the appearance of the grounds and outdoor areas for all school district facilities. Essential duties include maintenance for school grounds, athletic fields, parking areas, playground, and snow removal. Assistance with cleaning and custodial duties inside buildings as needed. This position reports directly to the Head Groundskeeper and the Director of Facilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- Preferable 1+ years of groundskeeping experience.
- Snow removal experience.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate a variety of grounds power equipment and tools.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor work for extended periods.
