Paul deLima Coffee Company, an expanding wholesale coffee roaster, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented full-time Day Shift Custodian to join our team at our Liverpool, NY facility. The Day Shift Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing, warehouse, office, and surrounding facility throughout the day. This position plays an important role in supporting a sanitary manufacturing environment and ensuring the facility meets company cleanliness and SQF/GMP standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the manufacturing, warehouse, office, break room, restroom, and common areas. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in accordance with SQF, GMP, and company standards. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces as needed. Perform floor-care duties, including mopping, buffing, and other maintenance as required. Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with company procedures. Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas throughout the day. Assist with general facility maintenance and cleaning projects as needed. Perform exterior and grounds maintenance, including keeping entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding areas clean and orderly. Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished. Respond promptly to spills, messes, and other cleaning needs. Follow all applicable safety procedures and proper handling practices for cleaning products and equipment. Work independently while also collaborating with team members to ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained. Qualifications Previous custodial, janitorial, commercial cleaning, or facility-cleaning experience preferred. Experience with floor care, including mopping and buffing, preferred. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Highly organized and dependable. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy items as required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow all SQF/GMP guidelines and company procedures. Excellent attendance and punctuality are required. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
