We provide professional cleaning and facility services with a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, commercial, and specialized facilities. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Exterior Tank Cleaning Technician to perform specialized cleaning services at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The technician will be responsible for the exterior cleaning of pharmaceutical processing and storage tanks, associated piping, supports, equipment, and surrounding areas . This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely while following facility-specific GMP, safety, environmental, and contamination-control procedures . The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, professional, and compliant facility environment and will be comfortable working around industrial equipment and utilizing approved cleaning chemicals and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform exterior cleaning of pharmaceutical tanks, vessels, piping, supports, platforms, and associated equipment. Remove dirt, dust, residue, environmental buildup, stains, and other visible contaminants from exterior tank surfaces. Clean accessible areas while taking appropriate precautions around valves, gauges, electrical components, instrumentation, insulation, labels, and other sensitive equipment. Follow all facility-specific GMP, SOP, safety, and contamination-control procedures . Properly use and handle approved cleaning chemicals in accordance with SDS requirements, manufacturer instructions, and facility procedures. Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment, tools, ladders, lifts, pressure-washing equipment, and other equipment as authorized and required. Wear all required PPE and follow established chemical-handling and workplace safety requirements. Protect surrounding equipment, finished surfaces, drains, and facility infrastructure during the cleaning process. Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the project and properly collect and dispose of waste and cleaning materials. Inspect completed work to ensure surfaces are free of visible dirt, residue, and buildup and meet the facility's established cleaning standards. Report damaged equipment, leaks, safety hazards, unusual conditions, or other concerns to the appropriate North Hills or client representative. Complete required cleaning documentation, checklists, and service records accurately. Maintain professional conduct and communication while working within an active pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Perform other related cleaning and facility-support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or specialized facility cleaning preferred. Experience cleaning industrial tanks, vessels, processing equipment, or similar equipment is a plus. Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, contamination-control procedures, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Ability to safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals and follow SDS and chemical-handling procedures. Ability to properly use PPE and follow facility-specific safety requirements. Comfortable working around industrial equipment and in areas requiring ladders, elevated work platforms, or other access equipment, when properly trained and authorized. Ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting/moving cleaning equipment and supplies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately complete required documentation. Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance. Work Environment This position will be performed within and around an active pharmaceutical manufacturing facility . Employees must be prepared to follow strict site-specific requirements related to GMP, PPE, chemical handling, access control, safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention . Pay:
$18.50 - $19.00 per hour
