Adecco is currently hiring Porters for upcoming opportunities supporting a professional event and venue operations environment in New York City . We are seeking individuals who are available for flexible scheduling and are interested in supporting facility operations, cleanliness standards, and event-day execution.
Pay:
Up to $23.00/hour This role is well-suited for candidates who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities may vary based on daily operational and event needs. Schedule Candidates must be available to work one or more of the following shifts based on business needs: 7:00 AM
- 3:00 PM 9:00 AM
- 4:00 PM 10:00 AM
- 6:00 PM Schedules may vary depending on operational requirements and event activity.
Responsibilities Open and close facility spaces, including securing doors, adjusting lighting, and preparing areas for daily operations. Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchens, offices, conference rooms, hallways, elevators, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility. Remove trash, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Restock restroom and facility supplies as needed. Conduct routine inspections of lighting, doors, floors, and facility conditions, and report maintenance needs. Perform spot cleaning in high-traffic areas and respond to immediate cleaning needs as they arise. Support event setup, resets, and breakdown activities. Assist with event operations including monitoring waste removal, maintaining restroom cleanliness, and supporting general venue logistics. Operate freight and passenger elevators when required during event load-in and load-out. Follow established safety procedures and facility protocols at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in custodial, porter, facilities, housekeeping, hospitality, or event operations roles preferred but not required. Experience in large commercial buildings, venues, or similar environments is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a structured operational environment. Availability to work flexible shifts based on business and event needs. Why Join Adecco? Pay Details:
