A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

All Nye locations - Oneida & Rome, NY Based out of Oneida, NY This job offers a foot in the door and opportunities for advancement! Summary - Maintains a safe and clean working environment for all our dealership employees and customers. Essential Duties Cleans the service area of the dealership as instructed by management. Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees. Washes all windows, glass doors, and glass panels throughout the service area. Sweeps technician stalls, and the service department Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary. Cleans forklift and power equipment. Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside. Removes all debris from the lot. Maintains yard equipment and cleaning supplies. Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly. Removes any old scrap parts from the shop after checking with the manager. Returns cores to the storage area. Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs. Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations. Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Good time management skills. Use and comply with all safety rules in all aspects of the position Ability to take direction from the Department Manager. Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. May require occasional driving of vehicles. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have a flexible schedule Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time. An applicant must pass a drug test. Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record Must be 18 years of age or older and be authorized to work in the U.S.
