Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial and residential properties. Your proactive approach will ensure that our environment remains welcoming, organized, and well-maintained. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient workspace while gaining valuable experience in facilities maintenance and custodial services. Pay range is $18 - $20 per hour. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct janitorial duties across various areas such as offices, hallways, lobbies, and common spaces. Assist with floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality. Support custodial operations by replenishing supplies and ensuring all cleaning equipment is properly maintained. Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep to keep the premises in excellent condition. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards. Collaborate with team members to complete special projects like industrial cleaning or deep sanitation when needed. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or related facilities maintenance roles. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Prior experience with commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending or kneeling as required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
