Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on high standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as necessary to ensure a polished appearance. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies. Conduct minor maintenance tasks and report any significant repairs needed to the facilities management team. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly for efficient operations. Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods is advantageous. Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus.
