The job of the Porter is to clean the OTB branch facility. As a Porter, your duties are to sweep, mop, take out the trash, clean the restrooms, and ensure that all cleaning and sanitary materials remain in stock and ensure the general cleanliness of the OTB branch and the parking lot. You also maintain and repair equipment as needed, including changing light bulbs. A further description of the duties and responsibilities of this position is listed below.

Salary:

$16.00 per hour as per Union wage scale. This is a Union (AFSCME) position. Responsibilities Thoroughly clean all restrooms Refilling soap, towel, tissue and sanitary napkin dispensers. Empty all trash and sanitary receptacles. Dust all partitions, doors and dispensers. Scrubb all interior surfaces of all water closets, urinals, lavatories. Wash and sanitize all shelves, dispensers, receptacles, etc., Clean mirrors, doors, mop and rinse all floors with a solution of detergent and sanitizer which must be used for all cleaning and mopping operations. Thoroughly clean all employee areas. Empty and wiping ashtrays Dust all furniture and miscellaneous equipment Damp wipe stains from furniture and equipment when necessary Vacuum floors. Remove stubborn carpet stains. Thoroughly clean all storage areas. Damp and dust mop floors. Dust and wash shelving Keep supplies in a neat and orderly fashion Maintain and clean equipment and keep in good working order. Keep all tiled areas cleaned/washed, waxed, and buffed to the satisfaction of OTB. Duties and Qualifications may vary based on the employment needs designated by the executive/administrative offices.

Qualifications:

Cleaning experience in an industrial or business environment highly desired.
