Job Description

The Environmental Services (EVS) Aide plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within Meadows at Brookmeade. This position ensures that all patient care areas, public spaces, and support areas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to prevent the spread of infection and promote overall health and safety. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to upholding environmental standards at all times. 2 shifts are available for this role: Days (7 AM-3 PM) or Evenings (2 PM-10 PM)
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. 2. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. 3. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. 4. Commitment to adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in environmental services or a healthcare setting. 2. Familiarity with hospital-grade disinfectants and cleaning agents. 3. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare staff and supervisors. 4. Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, treatment areas, restrooms, and public spaces according to established protocols. 2. Properly handle and dispose of waste materials, including biohazardous and sharps waste, in compliance with safety regulations. 3. Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and disinfectants in designated areas to ensure availability for staff and patients. 4. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel promptly. 5. Assist with special cleaning projects and respond to urgent cleaning requests to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
