A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Summary:
Complete janitorial duties at assigned location. This position is Relief work.
Essential Job Functions:
Complete janitorial duties outlined on cleaning checklist for specified site.

Be able to work independentlyMaintain a clean work areaNotify supervisor of any work issues; if supplies/parts run low, if there is a problem with the equipment not operating correctly or customer concernsMust follow all safety guidelinesMust meet quality standardsMust adhere to work location guidelines/rulesAdditional duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and motivate others.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. dead weight.

Maintain all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS Monarch/Unistel Industries policy.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years of ageReliable transportation All experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Chief Executive Officer, in collaboration with Human Resources.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to reach above shoulder level.

Ability to turn/twist upper body.

Able to use hand repetitive action for fine manipulating, keyboarding and typing.
