Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Position Summary Responsible for all heavy duty floor/carpet care, moving or lifting furniture and/or supplies, cleaning of assigned space and all Environmental Services duties requiring the use of a ladder. Schedule - Full-time 2-10pm and every other weekend. Essential Job Functions Collects waste from designated areas. Maintains tile floor in designated areas. Washes windows and walls as assigned. Cleans public and staff restrooms Cleans stairwells and elevators as assigned. Cleans dining room/café as necessary after meal time. Refinishes tile floors and shampoos carpets as required. Assists in room preparations as necessary. Maintains an assigned area Participates in in-service education and safety programs. Performs other duties as required by Manager or by Administration from time to time. Qualifications A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge and skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Reasonably strong, capable of lifting. Tile floor and carpet care maintenance knowledge preferred Must be neat in appearance, dependable. Job Requirements Requires ability to relate and be respectful to a wide variety of people and provide superior customer service to all including Residents/Members, co-workers, vendors, family members and visitors. Must wear employee badge at all times while on-the-job. Must report to work on time and adhere to attendance policy. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding information about Resident/Members, co-workers, vendors, family members and visitors. Must have reliable transportation. Conditions of Employment Works in clean, well-lit building, must be able to accept weekend, evening or night assignments if necessary. Covered by compensation, disability and unemployment insurance. Eligible for fringe benefits, paid holidays, paid vacations, paid sick leave. Benefits are prorated for part time employees. This is a Level 3 job category.
