A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

In-Person Position Overview We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaners to join our team across the Capital Region! In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining clean, safe, and healthy working environments for our clients in Albany, Latham, Troy, and surrounding communities. Whether you are working independently or with a facility team, you will ensure our client buildings meet the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and presentation.
Sweep, vacuum, mop floors, and maintain assigned facility areas to company quality standards.
Restock & Trash Removal:
Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly, and ensure paper products (paper towels, tissue, soap, etc.) are fully stocked in designated areas.
Safety & Standards:
Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols at all times.
Facility Communication:
Report equipment repairs, building maintenance needs, or low supply levels promptly to your supervisor.
Client & Team Relations:
Deliver dependable service, communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, and treat co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Previous experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or personal care aid roles preferred— paid training is provided!
Work Ethic:
High integrity, strong attendance, and the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
Age Requirement:
Must meet minimum age requirements for employment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move/traverse through facility work areas continuously during shifts. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Ability to handle standard commercial cleaning substances and equipment safely. Capability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
