Job Summary Join Our Team at
TCG Cleaning:
Day Porter at a School in Suffern Area, We're a growing commercial cleaning company seeking an experienced Day Porter to join our team at a School facility in Suffern NY. As a Day Porter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and students.
Responsibilities Cleaning and Maintenance:
Clean floors, desks, windows, furniture, equipment, carpets, and restrooms, ensuring all areas are spotless and hygienic. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas throughout the school day. Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles, desks, tables, handrails, and fixtures.
  • Daily Tasks
  • : Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily in offices, class rooms, kitchen, and common areas.
  • Restroom Maintenance
  • : Ensure sinks and toilets are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized daily, and soap and paper goods are replenished as needed.
Remove trash and recycling from classrooms, offices, common areas, and outdoor areas. Perform other cleaning and facility-support duties as assigned. Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment for students and staff. Help set up and clean up rooms and common areas for school events, meetings, activities, and assemblies. Requirements Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a school setting Proven janitorial experience with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in cleaning for at least 2 years. Ability to work day shift.
