Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall facility appearance during daytime hours. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure our clients' spaces are welcoming, sanitized, and well-maintained. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various commercial or residential facilities Handle custodial responsibilities such as restroom sanitation and surface disinfecting using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to ensure facility upkeep Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning is a plus Knowledge of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and sanitation tools Experience handling chemical agents safely following established safety procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while practicing proper manual handling techniques Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards clients and team members Basic understanding of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is advantageous Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work independently in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to excellence in facility maintenance!
