Cleaner, Part-Time

The Town of Webster Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a part-time cleaner to maintain the Recreation Center daily. The ideal candidate is available weekday mornings with some flexibility in start and end times. The part-time cleaner will help ensure the Recreation Center remains clean, safe, and welcoming for community members. Work is performed independently and requires reliability, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining public facilities.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES

(Other related activities may be performed although not listed.) Cleans and maintains bathroom facilities; Sweeps, wet mops and dust mops hard surface floors, hallways, and entrance ways; Dusts, polishes, and cleans multi-purpose rooms, Removes marks, stains, and fingerprints from walls, tables, chairs, desks, cupboards, counters and glass; Vacuums carpets and upholstered furniture; Empties wastebaskets into central trash containers; Refills soap and paper-product dispensers Turns off lights and unplugs small electrical appliances; Organizes cafeteria and conference room furniture; May prepare cafeteria or conference rooms for movies, programs, or similar events Operates powered floor cleaning equipment such as Viper floor machine

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of cleaning procedures, familiarity with cleaning equipment, safety protocol knowledge, experience in cleaning or housekeeping

Background Checking:

Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug test.

Pay:

$23.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
