DSP Rest Area Crew Supervisor Weaver Industries Inc - 3.7 Akron, OH Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Summary/Objective The DSP Supervisor - Rest Area Crew is responsible for overseeing janitorial and grounds maintenance operations at assigned rest area locations. This role ensures high-quality service delivery for external customers while supervising and supporting individuals served in alignment with organizational mission and regulatory requirements. Major Work Duties Essential Job Functions Operational Oversight Supervise daily cleaning and grounds maintenance activities at assigned rest areas Ensure all work is completed to quality standards and within established schedules Perform and oversee cleaning tasks, including: o Restroom cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking o Trash removal o Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming o Window washing o Indoor and outdoor debris removal Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment Team Leadership & Support Supervise, train, and support crew members, including individuals served Model appropriate workplace behaviors and reinforce expectations Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and productive work environment Transport crew members to and from job sites as required Compliance & Program Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards (OSHA) and organizational policies Maintain and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) as required Follow all incident reporting procedures (MUI/UIR) Communicate updates or concerns to appropriate stakeholders (SSA, leadership team) Maintain accurate and timely documentation (tracking forms, reports, etc.) Safety & Quality Assurance Monitor work environments to identify hazards and reduce risk Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license required Ability to supervise and support staff effectively Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing work environments and routines Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service Supervisory Responsibility Must train and oversee crew members (per DODD rules and properly supervising and safety techniques, reviewing the training effectiveness) Must maintain a Safety Program for crew members, reviewing for continuous improvement Must maintain all crew members' ISPs, making sure the most recent ISP for each crew member has at the work-site (per DODD rules) Must follow MUI/UIR reporting procedures (per CBDD and DODD rules) Must report any changes or behavior issues to the crew member's Service and Support Administrator (SSA), the Weaver Community Employment General Manager, and the Employment Services Manager Must complete and submit all required paperwork (tracking forms, etc) Work Environment Primarily outdoor and public-facing environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions (hot, cold, and mild).
