A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Full Job Description Schedule:
M-F 8:30am-5:00pm Summary /
Primary Role :
The Utility-Building Maintenance position will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness and maintaining the companies interior offices and outside grounds to company standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Adhere to maintenance, shop rules and safety regulations
  • Establish rapport with co-workers(s), carrier(s), vendor(s), and driver(s).
  • Pick up parts and material for maintenance department.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, strip/wax floors as needed, disinfect, clean windows, empty garbage/shop rag cans, etc.
  • Office maintenance, clean floors, bathroom facilities, kitchen, clean shop offices and bays, etc.
  • Order, inventory and stock toiletries and other cleaning supplies.
  • Stock kitchen supplies daily; and clean refrigerator as requested or needed.
  • Grounds maintenance, raking, lawn mowing, snow removal, salting sidewalks, sweeping, etc.
  • Audit yard and building cleanliness, access needs and make recommendations.
  • Audit equipment parking of Tractors and Trailers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in company training programs, safety events, meetings when requested.
Job Specifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Valid Drivers' License is required.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools, janitorial equipment, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend directions
  • Responsible for periodic driving duties of non-CDL commercial vehicles within the parameters of your job duties;
Fody Pay:
$16.00 – $17.00 per hour
