What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Hours and assignment subject to the collective bargaining agreement
Approximately 6 hours daily, not to exceed 30 hours per week
Salary per negotiated agreement (Starting wage $15.18 per hour.)
