As a member of our Environmental Services (EVS) team, you'll play an important role in supporting the patient experience throughout the hospital. This position offers hands-on training, opportunities to develop valuable skills, and a pathway to explore future career opportunities within Environmental Services and across Cleveland Clinic. Various shifts and hours are available . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Clean patient rooms, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms, ancillary areas, and other assigned spaces. Use appropriate cleaning products and techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment. Empty waste containers, clean furniture and surfaces, and address spills and other cleaning needs. Restock paper products and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, and assigned areas. Follow departmental policies, procedures, and hospital-wide safety standards. Complete hands-on training to learn cleaning techniques, departmental procedures, and the proper use and storage of cleaning products and chemicals. Qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High school diploma or GED preferred A commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines Willingness to learn and participate in hands-on training

Physical Requirements:

Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching. Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces. Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals. Light work - Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required, Pay Range Minimum hourly: $16.00 Maximum hourly: $18.38 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
