JFSA of Cleveland has an immediate opening for an individual to provide custodial services at our Intermediate Care Facility Metzenbaum Residence in Chesterland, Ohio (approximately 10 minutes from Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights). Full-time, Sunday through Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Hourly rate:

$17

Job Summary:

As a Residential Custodian, you will ensure the residents' living environment remains clean, sanitary, and safe. If you are interested in a rewarding career dedicated to helping others to live their best lives possible, this is the role for you!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Custodial services include, but are not limited to: Cleaning living areas: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, including mopping and dusting under the beds, changing linens/making beds, emptying trash, carrying trash to dumpsters, and windows; refilling paper dispensers/supply containers, in accordance the standards set by the House Manager. Use vacuums and other appropriate cleaning tools to maintain the home's interior condition Cleaning common areas: Vacuuming, sweeping, wiping tables, furniture, chairs, dusting, windows Cleaning bathrooms: Refilling paper dispensers/supply containers, cleaning sinks, countertops, bathtubs, and showers, disinfecting toilets, changing towels, and washing/disinfecting floors by hand (mopping) Cleaning kitchens: cleaning countertops, inside and outside refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, mopping floors Report items in need of repair Use cleaning materials properly, following all safety instructions

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED preferred Maintain both a valid Ohio Driver's License and a driving record that meets agency insurance company standards (i.e. no more than 2 incidents over a 3-year period) in addition to DODD non-medical transportation rule. Maintain personal auto liability insurance at the level that the Agency and the insurance carrier require. Must have a reliable personal automobile available daily Experience working as a direct support professional is strongly preferred Experience working as a cleaner or custodian

Abilities and Physical Demands:

Lifting and Carrying:

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Standing and Walking:

Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the workday.

Bending and Reaching:

Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching to clean various surfaces and areas.

Use of Equipment:

Operation of cleaning machines and tools, which may require physical strength and coordination. Ability to work independently
