Job Summary Join our vibrant elementary/highschool school community as a Part-Time Custodian! In this energetic and vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your efforts will ensure that the school's facilities are well-kept, hygienic, and ready for daily activities. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a positive learning environment through dedicated custodial work and facilities maintenance. This will be a 1099 position. 6pm-9pm. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the school premises. Conduct routine janitorial duties such as restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting to promote health and safety. Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep to ensure operational efficiency. Support industrial cleaning efforts when necessary, utilizing appropriate tools and safety protocols for larger-scale cleaning projects. Maintain cleanliness of common areas like hallways, cafeterias, gyms, and classrooms to foster a positive environment conducive to learning. Follow safety guidelines diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within educational or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently using specialized equipment. Skilled in general facilities maintenance with an eye for detail and safety awareness. Experience with residential painting or minor repairs is a plus for supporting facility upkeep. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks effectively throughout the school day.
