What You'll Do Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle janitorial responsibilities with efficiency, ensuring trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly. Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in designated areas, including deep cleaning of machinery or large-scale messes. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Support commercial cleaning projects that may involve specialized cleaning techniques or equipment. Maintain cleanliness standards by adhering to safety protocols and using proper custodial techniques during all cleaning activities. Handles chemical and scrap containers as required to meet the needs of production and materials departments. Performs miscellaneous grounds maintenance duties. Operates powered cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment. Uses chemical cleaners, absorbants, brooms, rags, and other cleaning tools as required to perform job duties. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment. Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, or polishing is advantageous. Knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices helps ensure high-quality results. Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles provides a strong foundation for this position. Residential painting or related maintenance skills can be beneficial for multi-purpose facility support. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively is essential. Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments.
