Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors to uphold cleanliness standards. Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure clarity and shine. Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, adhering to proper procedures for storage, mixing, and disposal in compliance with safety regulations. Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners efficiently to maintain various surfaces. Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to promote infection control and hygiene. Manage laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning activities to ensure safety for yourself and others. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving supplies or equipment while following manual handling best practices. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any maintenance issues promptly. Support custodial activities during special events or after-hours cleaning projects to minimize disruption. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices. Ability to operate various cleaning machinery such as pressure washers and floor buffers safely and effectively. Familiarity with chemical handling protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in all cleaning tasks. Good communication skills; able to follow instructions clearly and work independently or as part of a team.
