Position Overview We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities by performing a variety of routine cleaning and janitorial duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, follows instructions and safety procedures, and is committed to providing high-quality service to our clients. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other assigned areas using appropriate cleaning products and equipment. Dust, wipe, and polish surfaces to maintain a clean and presentable environment. Vacuum carpets and rugs and sweep and mop hard-surface floors, including corners and hard-to-reach areas. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and other fixtures. Replenish restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as needed. Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and properly dispose of trash and recyclable materials. Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed. Operate cleaning equipment safely and properly. Use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures and manufacturer instructions. Follow all company safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to a supervisor. Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and according to company standards. Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals preferred. Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to remain on your feet and physically active throughout the shift. Able to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and procedures. Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
