POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Janitor at Hartville Hardware, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized environment for our guests and team members. This position involves a range of cleaning duties to uphold the store's appearance and cleanliness standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Store Cleaning Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to ensure a tidy and inviting shopping environment. Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, replenishing supplies as needed. Trash Removal Empty and dispose of trash and recycling containers throughout the store. Monitor trash levels and ensure timely disposal. Floor Maintenance Clean and maintain store floors, including both carpeted and hard surfaces. Identify and address spills promptly to prevent accidents. Window & Glass Cleaning Clean windows and glass surfaces to provide a clear and appealing view for guests. Common Area Cleaning Clean common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and offices. Wipe down surfaces, tables, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming space. Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize as needed. Sanitize drinking fountains. Stock Room Maintenance Assist in keeping stock rooms organized and clean to support efficient inventory management. Dispose of empty packaging materials and maintain a clutter-free stock area. Safety Compliance Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is a plus. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently. Physical ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies. Familiarity with cleaning products and their safe usage.
