Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and mops to ensure a spotless environment. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures, including mixing, storing, and disposing of cleaning solutions. Conduct routine floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Operate janitorial equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocol guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with custodial tasks such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, surface cleaning, and replenishing supplies to uphold hygiene standards. Support facilities maintenance activities when needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests and ensuring a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting in accordance with safe lifting practices. Experience with floor buffers, floor care techniques, and industrial or commercial cleaning equipment is desirable. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facility maintenance procedures. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times. Reliable team player with good communication skills who can follow instructions accurately and work efficiently during the first shift hours.
