Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team in Madison. This part-time position offers morning shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, each lasting two hours. As a Commercial Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various commercial facilities. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will ensure our spaces are spotless and well-maintained, supporting the productivity and comfort of our clients and staff. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas during scheduled shifts. Use appropriate cleaning tools and supplies to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas. Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and reporting any repairs needed to ensure optimal operation. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning procedures. Complete cleaning checklists and shift reports accurately to document completed tasks and any issues encountered. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is advantageous. Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties enhances your ability to handle diverse cleaning responsibilities efficiently. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures ensures effective and safe cleaning practices.
