Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as an Industrial Power Plant Cleaning Technician Trainee, where you will develop essential skills to support the maintenance and cleanliness of large-scale power generation facilities. This paid training position offers a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of industrial cleaning operations, safety protocols, and equipment handling. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment dedicated to producing reliable energy. Your proactive attitude and eagerness to learn will set the foundation for a rewarding career in industrial maintenance. Duties Assist with cleaning and maintaining boilers and other various areas within the power plant. Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently during all tasks Support the preparation of cleaning supplies and equipment for daily operations Participate in routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues Learn proper techniques for industrial cleaning, including high-pressure washing, chemical handling, and debris removal Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively Document work activities and report any safety concerns or operational issues to supervisors promptly Skills Strong willingness to learn industrial cleaning techniques and safety protocols Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines accurately Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks in a demanding environment Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and PPE usage Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Reliable punctuality and a proactive approach to completing assigned duties
Nice-to-have:
prior experience in industrial or maintenance environments, familiarity with power plant operations, or technical certifications related to safety or equipment handling Must be able to travel (sometimes for extended periods of time). Must be able to work at heights exceeding 100' on a safety guarded metal grate. Must be able to maintain alertness for a 12-hr shift. Work in confined spaces.
