Production Area Cleanup (Custodial Work)

Crayex Corporation is looking for a self-starter who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment on the production/manufacturing floor and other areas related to compliance with SQF/ISO standards. You will be working at a fast-paced company. Crayex is a trusted name in custom manufacturing since 1972. We specialize in polyethylene shrink, non-shrink, and specialty films and bags.

Responsibilities of the position include:

Cleaning the SQF production area. General cleaning includes but is not limited to: Sweeping production area, removing clutter/debris, and when necessary, mopping production areas Cleaning of resin unloading stations/pump stations Cleaning ink from floors Cleaning of material storage barrels and bins Cleaning of trash can exteriors Collection of soiled rags to designated bins Waste Management Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins Remove debris from work areas Surface Cleaning Wiping down guardrails, handrails, steel columns, beams, console stations, cabinets, and other structures Conduct regular walk-throughs of assigned areas to identify cleaning needs and maintain high standard of cleanliness Adapt to changing facility needs as production grows, including adjusting cleaning routines and priorities Communicate clearly with supervisor and team members regarding issues, maintenance needs or areas requiring additional attention Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures Fully support, endorse and follow the guidelines of the HACCP & Food Safety Programs Other responsibilities as required

Requirements:

OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of experience in janitorial or custodial work Ability to assess what needs to be cleaned and prioritize tasks based on daily conditions Attention to detail and ability to work independently with little supervision Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to coordinate with supervisors, operators, or others regarding supplies and facility needs Ability to walk and stand for periods of time and perform physical tasks across a large facility for the duration of the shift Good time management and task prioritization skills Ability to follow safety protocols and handle hazardous materials safely Ability to climb stairs

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery, dust and chemicals May work in high-traffic or high-hazard areas; must adapt to changing production needs

Compensation:

Starting wage of $18.00 per hour Paid weekly Performance-based reviews and increases every three (3) months in the first year and then annually on the anniversary date
