This is a ground-floor opportunity on a growing campus: the role covers standard custodial work now, with room to take on minor maintenance and grow into a larger facilities function as the School expands. Daily Duties and Responsibilities Performs duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager Keeps the building and grounds clean and orderly Performs routine maintenance and assists with repair tasks Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors Gathers and empties trash Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks restrooms Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions Mixes and uses cleaning chemicals according to instructions and safety procedures Manages inventory of cleaning supplies Notifies the Facilities Manager of needed repairs or building system issues Responds to spills and messes throughout the day Assists with car line, bus arrival, and dismissal Assists with recess supervision as needed Assists with student lunch supervision and cleanup Routinely checks campus interior and exterior for safety hazards Qualifications / Skills Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Experience operating cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor equipment, etc.) Experience handling and mixing cleaning chemicals safely Knowledge of occupational safety hazards Strong communication skills Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at height Basic maintenance experience a plus, not required Must pass background check and drug screen Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Basic math skills Schedule Generally Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (40 hours/week, full-time) Hours may differ throughout a week depending on needs of the school Occasional support for events outside standard hours Immediate availability preferred
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
