Description:

Will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager while functioning as head custodian/lead worker. Will direct a custodial staff of four or more custoidans while performing duties that relate to maintaining the school buildings at a high level of cleanliness, safety and good repair. In addition to regular cleaning/custodial responsiblities: he/she will work in close cooperation with the building principal to insure efficient building operations, and promote good public relations among district personnel, community members, students and rental groups. Promote health and safety practices consistent with OSHA, PERRA, ORC, and OAC.

Qualifications :

Valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent. Computer knowledge (e-mail: send and receive) Commercial level cleaning experience is perferred Experience in general cleaning and building service operations. Demonstrate ability to plan and organize tasks. Able to perform minor repairs, and a willingness to work and cooperate with others. Able to lift 55 pounds unassisted. Able to operate a variety of power machinery and/or tools relative to the cleaning of buildings throughout the district. Ability to make clear, accurate, and comprehensive reports The ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions/policies. Able to perform all items as listed in the essential duties Demonstrate a strong leadership ability. Able to supervise and direct others. Successful completion of a skills test. Validation of qualifications as determined by an interview. Other relevant criteria as determined by the Board of Education, Superintendent and/or designee may find appropriate are acceptable. Good health, high moral character,good attendance,clean and neat appearance. Able to work various shifts required by Administration and School Board.
