A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must be physically able to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to follow directions. Working knowledge of custodial housekeeping procedures Working knowledge of chemicals used and their safe use Ability to use all custodial equipment Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing Good health, physical stamina, fitness and vitality

To clean and set up everything in assigned work area. To handle emergencies and make report if needed. To have a good working relationship with co-workers.
