Requirements Job Summary:
The Medical Terminal Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing thorough, high-level cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, surgical areas, and clinical spaces after patient discharge or procedures. This role is critical in preventing infection and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. 16 hours weekly: Saturday & Sunday, 5pm-1amPay :
$16.00 hourlyKey Responsibilities:
Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, and other clinical areas following established protocols Clean and disinfect all surfaces, including beds, mattresses, equipment, walls, floors, and high-touch areas Properly use hospital-grade disinfectants and cleaning solutions according to manufacturer and facility guidelines Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste, linens, and sharps containers Follow infection control procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Restock supplies in patient rooms and designated areas as needed Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor machines, UV disinfection units, or electrostatic sprayers (if applicable) Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety concerns Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and facility-specific health and safety regulationsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous healthcare or environmental services experience is a plus Knowledge of infection control practices and cleaning standards preferred Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40-50 pounds Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods Comfortable working in environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals and biological materialsWork Environment:
