A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Position Introduction:
The Oklahoma Memorial Union is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic building maintenance throughout offices, meeting spaces, event venues, and public areas within the Union. In addition to custodial duties, this role assists with room setups and event support by arranging, moving, and resetting tables, chairs, and other furnishings to accommodate meetings, conferences, and special events.
