A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Campus OSU-Stillwater Contact Name & Email Sheryl Johnson, sheryl.johnson@okstate.edu Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends. Appointment Length Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice Hiring Range $14.00 - $18.00 Hourly About this Position This position is a day shift. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining an orderly and clean facility. Cleans assigned areas to include offices, meeting rooms, public areas, hallways, stairs, escalators, restrooms, and retail shops. Cleaning is defined to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, hard floor maintenance, dusting, waxing, polishing office furniture and cleaning woodwork, empty trash, polish brass and office furniture. Utilizes assigned equipment and fills out work order forms detailing equipment and any other problems and any other conditions requiring maintenance. Performs related duties as assigned and as the need arises. Maybe required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds. This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.
