A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
ON CALL SUBSTITUTE POSITION
Various hours ranging from 5
•8hours per day
As needed
•On call
South Umpqua School District
(Tri City Elementary, Myrtle Creek Elementary, Canyonville School, Coffenberry Middle School, South Umpqua High School).
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and follow written and oral directions. The ability to work harmoniously with staff and students is a necessity.
Good physical health and ability to perform manual labor. Physically able to perform essential job functions which include lifting 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and carrying on a regular basis.
Duties:
Ability to perform various custodial duties. Sanitize restrooms, showers, locker rooms. Sweep/mop/wax/buff or vacuum floors. Dust, wash windows, empty trash, paint, and other duties as assigned.
Hourly Wage:
$19.01
