Starting Pay:

$22.00-$23.50 per hour At Universal Shine, we believe hard work and dedication should be recognized! Starting wages between $22.00 and $23.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Overtime paid at 1.5 times your regular hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week. What You'll Be Doing As a Carpet Cleaning Technician, your primary responsibility will be providing professional carpet cleaning services at apartment communities, residential homes, and commercial properties. You'll also assist with other specialty cleaning services and projects when needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

Performing professional carpet and upholstery cleaning. Operating truck-mounted carpet cleaning systems and other professional cleaning equipment. Identifying and treating carpet spots, stains, and problem areas. Learning and performing carpet stretching and repairs. Assisting with apartment trash-outs, including removing unwanted furniture, debris, and other items from vacant units. Helping with property cleanouts and preparing vacant apartments for new residents. Performing clean water extractions using professional extraction equipment when needed. Assisting with pressure washing and other specialty cleaning projects as needed. Preparing equipment, cleaning products, and supplies for daily appointments. Inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining professional carpet cleaning equipment. Performing basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance. Keeping company vehicles clean, organized, and properly stocked. Communicating professionally with customers, property managers, and team members. Providing quality workmanship and maintaining customer satisfaction. Following company safety procedures and established cleaning standards. Carpet cleaning will be your main responsibility, but we're looking for someone who's willing to jump in and help with other services when needed! Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with our equipment or services. We'll provide the training and guidance needed to help you succeed! Are You Mechanically Inclined? We'd love to hear from you! Our carpet cleaning technicians operate professional equipment that includes engines, pumps, hoses, and other mechanical components. We're especially interested in applicants who enjoy working with their hands, are comfortable using tools, and have a basic understanding of how equipment works. Being able to recognize equipment issues, perform basic maintenance, and troubleshoot minor mechanical problems is a big plus! You do not need to be a mechanic or have professional repair experience. Mechanical knowledge is preferred, but not required. A hands-on attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take good care of equipment are what matter most. What Makes Someone a Great Fit? Basic Requirements Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday. Availability to work Monday through Friday. Willingness to complete paid training and follow company safety procedures. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Basic mechanical knowledge or experience using tools is preferred, but not required. Previous carpet cleaning experience is NOT required! Work Schedule Full-time position. Monday through Friday. Approximately 30-45 hours per week, depending on workload. Typical working hours between 8:15 AM and 6:00 PM. Overtime opportunities available based on business needs.
